Post-Production on ‘The Stranger’ completed
I’ve just finished post-production on a new short film, ‘The Stranger’, shot in collaboration with HM Prison Service.
Since many ex-offenders have never had a bank account, have no credit or employment history and still less any friends or family who they can fall back on, trying to build a normal life after a period inside can be almost impossible. This film uses a darkly comic style to demonstrate some of the key pitfalls faced by ex-offenders in their first few weeks after release.
The film stars Angus Brown and Joe Sims, who recently starred in the Young Vic’s critically acclaimed two-hander, As We Forgive Them. We filmed on location at HMP Downview and on the old set of The Bill at Merton Studios.
