Just finished filming some comedy virals that will be released as part of a national campaign for FDF – the trade body representing some of the UK’s largest food manufacturers such as Pepsi, Nestle and Unilever. I wrote and directed the virals for digital agency, Glow Labs and shot them with DP Robert Hollingworth on the new Sony F3 camera. It’s the first time I’d shot using the camera on a drama shoot and was hugely impressed by its performance in stylised, low light conditions. The sensitivity of the camera meant that we were able to achieve quite subtle effects with a relatively small lighting setup, often using practical lamps alone to supply much of the back light for a scene.
